The Sierra High Route is a two-hundred-plus mile trek that takes one from Kings Canyon to the upper reaches of Yosemite National Park via that timberline wilderness along the spine of the Sierra Nevada, which John Muir called the “Range of Light”. The route is mostly cross-country with relatively few trail miles, keeps an elevation between 9,500 and 12,500 feet, and traverses.
